Lyon, April 17, 2012 – Printers attending DRUPA 2012 can win a remote audit which will allow them to know if they meet PSO/ISO12647 or G7® PC requirements by entering a competition run by KEE Consultants and sponsored by Alwan Color Expertise. The two organizations are continuing their efforts to help the printing industry understand and adopt international standards by giving printers the chance to win this valuable gap analysis audit. To participate in the draw, visitors have simply to visit Alwan booth Hall 9-D10, and leave their business card.

Printing Standards adoption has gained momentum worldwide. Following on from their successful “Standardize to Survive” tour and their “Gap Analysis Audit”, KEE Consultants continue to pave the way for standards adoption and implementation by making available to the printing industry the best expertise and the most efficient solutions enabling printers to quickly and cost effectively implement international standards.

To date, more than 100 sites worldwide have been PSO/ISO 12647 or G7® Master Printer certified thanks to KEE Consultants services or to Alwan standardization solutions.

Elie Khoury, founder and chair of KEE Consultants comments: “DRUPA 2012 represents an excellent opportunity to offer all attending printers what hundreds of printers are already enjoying – cost-effective and simple implementation of printing standards. Simple yet very efficient working practices and tools enable printers to not only match standards, but also to increase productivity and profit due to problem-free printing.

KEE Consultants and Alwan Color Expertise have played a key role in recent years promoting and implementing printing standards worldwide. Their collective experience and success will undoubtedly continue to benefit the printing industry in the future.” concludes Elie Khoury.

The remote audit is sponsored by Alwan and will be conducted from KEE Consultants’ ISO 17025 compliant laboratory in France. The audit comprises a comprehensive online questionnaire, and a set of forms that the printer will proof and print according to provided guidelines.

The audit covers all areas of print production, and will be concluded with a report advising on the needed improvements to bridge the gaps and achieve PSO or G7® PC conformity:

  • Design and PDF creation
  • Prepress and PDF reception
  • RIP, CTP and Printing
  • Quality-Control and Assurance
